The Drive-In Summer Free Movie Series Returns to Fall River with 3 Movies, Free Food, and Fun Activities
The Town of Fall River is bringing back its free summer movie series with three family movies screening on three different dates this year.
The drive-ins will be located at Durfee High School in Fall River in the Ray Street parking lot and will also include activities such as a petting zoo, photo booth and giveaways from community organizations, according to a statement from the office of the Mayor Paul E. Coogan. .
All three drive-in events will also include free burgers and hot dogs prepared by Greater Fall River Re-Creation, which is hosting the events alongside the city.
“These events are offered free of charge to the community thanks to the generous sponsorship of Senator Michael Rodrigues,” the town hall said.
Drive-in events begin Friday, June 24 with the Disney animated movie “Encanto,” according to the release. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for guests to enjoy activities and refreshments before the movie starts at 8:30 p.m.
“Unlike the 2020 and 2021 drive-in movie series, residents no longer need to reserve tickets for events, but should anticipate that the lot will fill up quickly,” the mayor’s office said.
The second drive-in will take place on Friday, July 29, featuring the 1985 film “Back to the Future,” and the last drive-in of the summer will take place on Friday, August 19, and will feature Marvel Studios 2012. .movie “The Avengers”.
