Stardust Movie Series returns this year

The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce has announced the 2022 schedule for the Stardust film series.

All films will begin around 8:15 p.m. and are free and open to the public.

It begins May 13 at Gaiser Park in Seymour with the screening of “The Bee Movie,” sponsored by the Chamber Environmental Committee and the Jackson County Recycling District. Before the film begins, attendees can learn about pollinator patches and native plants and have a chance to win prizes.

The remaining schedule includes June 3 at Bard Street Park in Crothersville with the movie “Goonies,” sponsored by Cerrowire; July 15 at Crossroads Community Park in Seymour with the movie “Clifford the Big Red Dog,” sponsored by Centra Credit Union; August 6 at Medora Town Park in Medora with the movie “Sandlot,” sponsored by the City of Medora; and August 12 with the movie “Uncle Buck” at the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts in Seymour, sponsored by Uptown Realty.

Films will also screen Sept. 23 at Brewskies Downtown in Seymour, sponsored by real estate agent Roger Wessel, and Oct. 13 at The Point in Seymour, sponsored by The Point. These films have not yet been determined.

Due to a reporter’s error, turnout for Tuesday’s primary election was incorrectly reported in an article about the Ninth Congressional District race on the front page of Thursday’s edition of The Tribune. The participation rate was 16%.
