Rose Bowl Brings Back Tribeca Drive-In Summer Movie Series of New and Classic Films – Up News Info

Tribeca Enterprises is bringing its drive-in movie series back to Pasadena’s Rose Bowl with new classic and family movies, July 28-August 26.

With the popularity of drive-ins last year as a safer, more socially distanced entertainment option during the pandemic, Tribeca was inspired to return in 2021 with a new lineup of movies.

Highlights include celebrating milestone anniversaries such as the 5th anniversary of “Moana” (2:00 p.m. Aug. 21); the 20th anniversary of “The Royal Tenenbaums” (8 p.m. July 28) and “The Princess Diaries” (5 p.m. August 4); and the 25th anniversary of “Fargo” (8:30 p.m. on July 29).

There will also be a celebration of the late comedian and actor Robin Williams with some of his most memorable movies, including “Hook” (1 p.m. Aug. 7) and “Good Will Hunting” (8:30 p.m. Aug. 7).

There’s a special preview screening of Amazon Prime Video’s “Everybody’s Talking About Jamie” (8:30 p.m. Aug. 21). In honor of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the producers will screen “Go Big” (6 p.m. August 6), a collection of short films that highlight sporting risk, reward and resilience. Tribeca will also celebrate music with “Mix Tape: Music Shorts” (6:30 p.m. Aug. 25), a collection of films that capture the power of music.

Tickets are $30 per vehicle and are on sale now at TribecaFilm.com.
