There was a hive of activity on the North Shore this morning, August 30, as a film crew went to work at two locations for an upcoming film called Rancher 101.

Around 9 a.m., a scene was filmed on the patio of Bright Eye Brewing amid small round tables with lace tablecloths and bouquets of flowers on them.

Very quickly and smoothly, the camera crews, directors, and cast finished filming, and then the whole crew rushed to pack up gear and walk down the street to film in front of the North Shore Barber Shop.

One of the producers, Cjay Boisclair, was on hand but could not give details about the film.

Rancher 101 is part of an ever-growing list of local film productions managed by Boisclair of Askem Productions and co-producer Jeremy Kulyk of Kulyk Industries.

Last month, the team shot a film called A Private Affair at various locations around town, including local businesses and private homes.
