Fans of 80s films get the chance to relive a steamy coming-of-age classic with an outdoor screening of dirty dancethe final film in Legacy Park’s Camp Legacy film series.
A colossal hit in its time, the film follows Baby (Jennifer Grey) – a blameless daddy’s girl with dead plans to join the Peace Corps – on a summer vacation with her parents at a sleepy mountain resort. When Baby begins taking dance lessons, she develops a crush on station dance teacher Johnny (Patrick Swayze), as well as an indomitable passion for dancing.
As Baby and Johnny accelerate their relationship, Baby realizes that her plans may not be hers after all, but rather her father’s, and she becomes determined to take control of her own destiny.
