Batgirl movie lines up Doom Patrol’s Brendan Fraser as DC villain
Brendan Fraser is about to join In the heights‘Leslie Grace in upcoming DC and HBO Max Bat girl movie.
According to Deadline, the actor – best known for his roles in the Mummy franchise – has been lined up to play Garfield Lynns aka Firefly, a supervillain with a penchant for pyrotechnics who is known to take on Batman on more than one occasion.

Grace, who will play titular Barbara Gordon – Jim’s daughter – shared the story on Twitter shortly after the news broke, adding a bat emoji and writing: “LESGOOOOO !!!!”
She was also not the only one on the social media platform who seemed elated with the casting decision.

Interestingly, Fraser is no stranger to the DC Extended Universe, having previously played Cliff Steele / Robotman in both. Titans and Fate Patrol.
